PRINCE ANDREW VISITS MILITARY TRAINING CENTER OF AZERBAIJAN

Duke of York, member of the British Royal Family, Prince Andrew, in
the frame of `Peacemaking English' project of the British Council on
30 June has visited the military training center of Azerbaijan,
interested in training courses of servicemen.
In the Center, the Defense Minister of Azerbaijan, colonel-general
Safar Abiyev, chief of the international Euro-Atlantic integration
department, general-major Ramiz Najafov and other high rank officers
greeted the Prince.
In the Training Center, the officers were given certificates on
graduation of English courses.
Defense Minister Abiyev noted that hitherto over 40 Azeri officers
have been trained in different places of Great Britain in these
English courses. He expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and the Northern Ireland for support of peace
settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict,
underlining that this visit will serve expansion of cooperation.
Prince Andrew expressed pleasure with his second visit to Baku, and
the development of links in defense field. He stressed necessity of
good knowledge on English for cooperation in this field.
