ARMENIAN PRESIDENTIAL AIDE: ARMENIAN ARMY IS THE MOST EFFICIENT IN THE REGION

"Today, Armenia has the most efficient army in the region, so sums
envisaged by the budgets for the armed forces in Armenia, Georgia and
Azerbaijan, should be considered to be absolute truth," stated Armenian
presidential aide on national security Garnik Isagulyan, answering
questions of the Voice of Armenia newspaper. He said that despite lower
budget capabilities of Armenia, in terms moral and ethical sphere,
efficiency and in different trainings Armenia's army acts excellent.
Speaking about national security strategy of the country, Isagulyan
noted that today this question is especially actual. "Currently,
interdepartmental commission directly controlled by Defense Minister
Serzh Sarkisyan works on it, so the strategy of the national security
will appear in the end of 2006 - beginning of 2007," he noted.
According to the aide, constant work is conducted to coordinate denial
of false information, spread by the Azerbaijani side. It is the work
of the Institute for Political Research of the Armenian president
and the Defense Ministry.
