RA DEFENCE MINISTER POINTS OUT ORGANIZED WORK IN THE AREA OF ARMENIAN
PLANE CRASH
YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. The RA Minister of Defence Serge Sargsyan
pointed out organized work in the area of Armenian plane crash. "The
first thing I noticed was organized work", Sargsyan told journalists.
Speaking about reasons of the catastrophe Sargsyan emphasized that
"it is impossible to find out reasons of the catastrophe from
Yerevan".
"We know that techniques were in working order when the plane left
Yerevan and we also know that the weather was bad", Sargsyan
emphasized.
A-320 airplane belonging to "Armavia" company crashed above Black Sea
near Sochi on Wednesday. All 113 people on board, 77 of whom were

WORKING COMMISSION FOR GIVING NECESSARY SUPPORT TO FAMILIES OF AIR
CRASH VICTIMS CREATED IN ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT
A working commission for giving necessary support to the families of
the people killed in the air crash near Sochi. The RA Parliament's
Public Relations Department reported that this decision was made
during a meeting with Speaker Artur Bagdasaryan..
Members of the commission are several MPs from parliamentary parties
and factions.
Members of parliamentary groups and factions one more time presented
their condolences to the victims' relatives. MPs expressed confidence
that reasons of the air crash will be found out.
It was suggested that sittings of the Armenian parliament should not
be held on 4 May.
113 people were killed in the air crash of A-320 airbus of the
Armenian "Armavia" air company at night on Wednesday over Black Sea
near Sochi. Friday was declared the day of mourning in Russian and
Armenia. The mourning will last during two days in Armenia - 5 and 6

bulletin "Armenian Banks' Activity Indices at 1st Q 2006". In
composing the bulletin, the news agency used banking organizations'
unified fiscal reports published in press as well as additional
information provided by banks.
It should be mentioned that some of the bulletin tables reflect the
situation with banks incompletely, because of Armenian Development
Bank refused to give the agency full package of interim fiscal
reports with comments in addition to press-published reports.
The bulletin consists of 78 pages with tabular data on them and
divided into 9 sections: 1.Broad Description of Banks; 2.Assets;
3.Liabilities; 4.Banks' Active and Passive Operations with
Non-residents; 5.Capital; 6.Profit/Losses; 7.Information about Money
Movement; 8.Capitalization and Liquidity Levels; 9. Profitability and
Yield Indices.
The bulletin contains the information reflecting current state of
Armenian banks and the data for analyzing their activities.
ARKA News Agency started issuing the bulletin in 1999. It was the

CONFERENCE WITH PARTICIPATION OF RF MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, ARMENIAN
DEFENSE MINISTER HELD AT ADLER AIRPORT
Yerevan, May 3. /ARKA/. A conference with the participation of RF
Minister of Transport Igor Levitin and RA Minister of Defense Serge
Sargsyan is being held at the Adler airport.
The Executive Staff formed to coordinate the elimination of the
aftermath of the air crash reported that 86 relatives of the victims
have arrived in Adler. A special flight is to bring another 120
people soon.
`On arriving, everybody is accommodated at the city's hotels, receive
meals and, if necessary medical and psychological aid,' the press
service of the Staff reports.
The A-320 plane crashed near Sochi on the night of May 3. All the 113

ALL PASSENGERS OF ARMAVIA AIRLINE INSURED IN CONFORMITY WITH
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
Yerevan, May 3. /ARKA/. All the passengers of the Armavia airline
were insured in conformity with international standards, the press
service of the airline reports.
The risks were re-insured at the international market. The amount and
order of payment of compensations will be determined after the
investigation, which is being conducted with the involvement of
independent experts appointed by the re-insurer companies.
The `Armavia' plans to report on the rules of compensation

NORMAL AHEAD OF FLIGHT
YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Technical state of A320 plummeted into the
Black Sea near Sochi this night was normal, Armenian Civil Aviation
Department Press Secretary Gayane Davtyan told ARKA News Agency.
In her words, the craft underwent careful examination ahead of the
flight and the examination revealed no technical problems.
Davtyan said the second group of crash victims' relatives will flew
to Sochi at 16:00 local time.
Armavia Armenian Air Company's jet with 113 on board plummeted in the
Black Sea on a flight from Yerevan to Sochi. None of those aboard the
plane has survived. 26 of the flight passengers were Russian

`I was deeply shocked with news about air crash near Adler',
Baghdasaryan stated.
`I pay respects on my behalf and behalf of the parliament to families
and relatives of the crew and passengers killed in the air crash. I
am sure that no efforts will be spared to find out reasons of the
catastrophe', the message notes.
According to the data of the RA Central Administrative Board of the
Civil Aviation, 8 members of the crew and 105 passengers, 6 of whom
were children and 36 - women, were on board A-320 air liner. In
accordance with the decree of the Head of the RA Central
Administrative Board of Civil Aviation, a working commission
consisting of 9 members, namely inspectors of aviation and flight
security, was formed, which has already left for Sochi in order to
take part in the investigation conducted by the Russian side.
According to preliminary data of the Russian Emergency Ministry, all
members of the crew and passengers of the wrecked air liner died. On
the case of catastrophe Prosecutor's Office of Sochi instituted
criminal proceedings on Article 3 of the 263 RF Criminal Code
(violation of traffic security rules and exploitation of air
transport entailing death of 2 and more people because of
carelessness).
`Armavia' Air Company was founded on December 12, 1996. Since July
2005, 100% shares of the company have belonged to the President of

AIRCRAFT CRUSH NEAR SOCHI
YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Armavia Air Company is already set up a
commission for finding out causes of its aircraft crash near Sochi,
Russia. Armavia press service told ARKA News Agency that aircraft
A-320 with 913 on board plummeted into Black Sea Tuesday night while
en route from Yerevan to Sochi. It fell down when trying to land in
Adler airport.
Armavia's official says the plane was denied landing because of bad
weather. The crew decided to land in Tbilisi, then they was told by
Adler airport flying control ground service that weather has already
improved. `The airplane headed to Sochi, but weather conditions there
remained bad. At the very moment of the second attempt to land, the
plane disappeared from radars screens', the company's press service
says.
Armavia spokesman said that the jet was in good technical condition.
Of 113 aboard 105 were passengers and 8 crew members. 6 children and
36 women were among the passengers.
Armenian Civil Aviation General Office set up a commission for
dealing with the accident. The commission made up of aviation and
flight security specialists has already flew to Sochi to take part in
the investigation launched by Russian side.
All the 113 on board are reportedly killed in the crash.
Sochi Prosecutor Office instigated a case into the accident on the
Russian Federation Penal Code count on violation of flight security
rules that resulted in human toll.
Armavia Air Company started functioning on December 12, 1996. Mikhail
Baghdasarov, MIKA Armenia Trading President, became the owner of 100%

YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Armavia Air Company is already set up a
commission for finding out causes of its aircraft crash near Sochi,
Russia. Armavia press service told ARKA News Agency that aircraft
A-320 with 913 on board plummeted into Black Sea Tuesday night while
en route from Yerevan to Sochi. It fell down when trying to land in
Adler airport.
Armavia's official says the plane was denied landing because of bad
weather. The crew decided to land in Tbilisi, then they was told by
Adler airport flying control ground service that weather has already
improved. `The airplane headed to Sochi, but weather conditions there
remained bad. At the very moment of the second attempt to land, the
plane disappeared from radars screens', the company's press service
says.
Armavia spokesman said that the jet was in good technical condition.
Of 113 aboard 105 were passengers and 8 crew members. 6 children and
36 women were among the passengers.
Armenian Civil Aviation General Office set up a commission for
dealing with the accident. The commission made up of aviation and
flight security specialists has already flew to Sochi to take part in
the investigation launched by Russian side.
All the 113 on board are reportedly killed in the crash.
Sochi Prosecutor Office instigated a case into the accident on the
Russian Federation Penal Code count on violation of flight security
rules that resulted in human toll.
Armavia Air Company started functioning on December 12, 1996. Mikhail
Baghdasarov, MIKA Armenia Trading President, became the owner of 100%

RA PRESIDENT EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO FAMILIES OF PEOPLE KILLED IN
ARMENIAN AIRPLANE CRASH NEAR SOCHI
YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. RA President Robert Kocharyan expressed
sincere condolences to families and relatives of the crew and
passengers of the Armenian airplane wrecked into the see near Sochi
today at night, according to the Press Service of the RA President.
`I was informed with deep regret about the crash of the airplane of
the `Armavia' company flying from Yerevan to Adler', President's
message notes.
`I assure that families of perished people will be rendered all the
necessary assistance and authorities will spare no effort to find out
reasons of the accident', Kocharyan stated.

Russian rescuers took out of the water more than 20 corpses, salvage
operations are still in the process with participation of the Russian
Emergency Ministry specialists.
According to the RA Central Administrative Board of the Civil
Aviation, 8 members of the crew and 105 passengers, 6 of whom were
children and 36 - women, were on board A-320 air liner. In accordance
with the decree of the Head of the RA Central Administrative Board of
Civil Aviation, a working commission consisting of 9 members, namely
inspectors of aviation and flight security, was formed, which has
already left for Sochi in order to take part in the investigation
conducted by the Russian side.
`Armavia' Air Company was founded on December 12, 1996. Since July
2005, 100% shares of the company has belonged to the President of the
