RA PRESIDENT EMPHASIZES NECESSITY OF WIDENING COOPERATION WITH ARAB COUNTRIES

YEREVAN, MAY 18, NOYAN TAPAN. Majdi Ahmad Ebrahim Al-Dafiri, the newly
appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kuwait to Armenia (residence
in Tehran) handed his credentials to RA President Robert Kocharian
on May 18. The President of the republic emphasized the necessity of
widening the cooperation with Arab countries, attaching importance
to the role of Kuwait in that context.
Touching upon the two countries' relations, the interlocuters mentioned
that a considerable potential of mutual cooperation exists. For
development of the economic ties, they considered primary improvement
of the legal-contructual basis, direct contacs and exchange of
information between business circles of the two countries. As Noyan
Tapan was informed by the RA President's Press Office, the Ambassador
presented in details the state existing in Kuwait and the regional
developments.
