IRAN LIKELY TO TRANSPORT GAS TO EUROPE THROUGH IRAN-ARMENIA PIPELINE

Russian Gazprom Company has purchased the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline
that is in process of construction, The Times reported referring
to news agencies. Aleksander Medvedev, vice-president of Gazprom,
told The Times that the company has increased its shares in joint
Armenian-Russian Hayrusgazard company from 45% to 58%.
It's not excluded that the Iranian gas will be transported to Europe
via Armenia. Medvedev dubbed this project a beneficial deal saying
that Gazprom will take part in Iranian gas output and its possible
shipment to Western Europe and even Pakistan and India.
