THE ARMENIAN CHURCH UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION ELECTS ITS NEW
COMMITTEE
The Armenian Church University Students' (HEHOM) Association held its
General Assembly and elected a new committee in its headquarters in Antelias
on September 30.
Rev. Mesrob Sarkissian, a graduate of the Antelias Seminary, a newly
ordained member of the Brotherhood of Cilicia, appointed by His Holiness
Aram I as HEHOM's new spiritual advisor, spoke during the opening of the
assembly, calling on all participants to cooperation and collective work.
Father Mesrob also highlighted the importance of enriching the association
with new members hence involving Armenian university students in the life of
our church and nation.
The participants in the meeting discussed the association's agenda of last
year and accordingly made proposals for next year. The assembly elected the
association's new committee along with five sub-committees. Archives and
accounts were checked before the new committee assumed its responsibilities.
The new committee held its first meeting on October 3. Members elected the
committee secretariat and discussed the proposals made during the General
Assembly.
Consulting the association's spiritual advisor, the committee also devised
its agenda for next year.
