    TATUL MANASERIAN LEAVES "ARDAROUTIUN" FACTION

    Noyan Tapan
    Sept 05 2006

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The number of the RA National
Assembly "Ardaroutiun" faction members reduced by one more: Doctor
of Economy Tatul Manaserian, a non-partizan deputy, elected by the
proportional list of the mentioned faction left on September 4 the
faction rows, according to his own application. He will complete
the row of independent deputies. To recap, a month ago, faction
secretary Victor Dallakian also left the party, according to his
own application, and became an independent deputy. So, 12 deputies
are members of the faction. In the application addressed to faction
head Stepan Demirchian, T.Manaserian particularly mentioned: "Taking
into consideration the "Ardaroutiun" faction's noticeable pasiveness
during the political activity, factual stopping of an active struggle
as well as my future programs, I inform with this about my leaving the
bloc and faction." As Ruzan Khachatrian, the Press Secretary of the
faction and the People's Party of Armenia informed the Noyan Tapan
correspondent, the deputy at the same time thanked "for the human
and working relations created in the joint political struggle" and
expressed readiness to cooperate "within the framework of legislative
and other important initiatves addressed to the country's progress." In
the August 25 interview to the Noyan Tapan correspondent, Stepan
Demirchian mentioned that he is not of the same opinion relating to
some estimations presented in press about the opposition's pasiveness
as the faction, including the PPA, has always expressed publicly its
position concerning the processes taking place in the country and
issues of public interest. To recap, Tatul Manaserian still refuses to
speak about his future political programs, and particularly about the
recient roumors concerning his possible membership to the "Bargavach
    Hayastan" (Prosperous Armenia) party.
