ARMENIAN APPOINTED DEPUTY HEAD OF INAD

BUENOS AIRES, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS: Pedro Muradian, a former member
of the South American Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary
Federation (ARF) and the current chairman of the regional ARF chapter
was inaugurated yesterday in Buenos Aires as deputy chairman of the
Argentinean National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia
and Racism (INAD-Instituto Nacional contra la Discriminacion, la
Xenofobia y el Racismo).
The chairman of the Institute is Maria Jose Lupertino. The Argentinean
office of the Armenian Cause, an affiliation of the ARF, said the
inauguration ceremony was attended by high-ranking government officials
and members of the Armenian community.
Pedro Muradian served for years as a member of the Argentinean
Commission on Human Rights. INAD was founded in 1995 acting under
the aegis of Argentinean ministry for human rights and justice.
