RA MFA: BAKU'S STATEMENT ON USING LACHIN CORRIDOR TOGETHER WITH ARMENIA IS NOTHING BUT DESIRE

YEREVAN, 03.04.08. DE FACTO. Azerbaijani Deputy FM Araz Asimov's
statement on using Lachin corridor together with Armenia in the future
under condition that the corridor itself will be within Azerbaijan
is nothing but Baku's desire, the RA MFA acting Spokesperson Tigran
Balayan stated, while commenting the above-mentioned statement.
To remind, Azerbaijani Deputy FM Araz Asimov stated Baku was ready to
discuss the issue referring to using Lachin corridor together with
Armenia in the future, noting the above-mentioned corridor was of
great importance both for Azerbaijan and Armenia. Asimov underscored
that official Baku suggested that in the future the corridor be used
by both parties under condition that it was within Azerbaijan. Asimov
noted Azerbaijan's proposal was addressed to the OSCE Minsk group
Co-Chairs and the issue might be subject to discussion in the course
of subsequent negotiations.
To note, the OSCE Minsk group Co-Chairs will hold a meeting within
the NATO summit frames in Bucharest on April 3, after which they are
to meet with the RA President elect Serzh Sargsian, IA REGNUM reports.
