MOTHER OF EIGHT CHILDREN PRESENTED WITH 1 MILLION DRAMS BY VIVACELL

VivaCell, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (NYSE: MBT)
presented with 1 million drams a 43-years old mother from the village
of Aghvani of Syunik marz Zhenya Shirinyan, who gave birth to her
8th child. VivaCell Kapan Service Center Officer Ashot Kuyumjyan
on behalf of the Company delivered 1 million drams to the mother of
eight children Zhenya Shirinyan.
In addition to the envelope with 1 million drams provided by
VivaCell, like many other mothers who were provided birth delivery
in the maternity houses of marz centers of Armenia as well as in
the Institute of Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology in Yerevan,
Zhenya Shirinyan also received an ALO MOM prepaid card, being provided
by VivaCell to mothers of the newborn during the Month of Women,
Maternity and Beauty announced by the Company for the whole period
from March 8 to April 7. To date, nearly 1,000 women have already
received from VivaCell such ALO cards with 15,000 drams of embedded
airtime, specially designed for that occasion.
This year, the Month of Women, Maternity and Beauty will be concluded
by a unique draw aired on TV, involving all the recipients of ALO
MAM gift cards.
Each of the 11 winning numbers (one winner per each marz and Yerevan)
will get from VivaCell a special gift voucher with a certain
amount. The gift voucher can be used only as full payment against
purchase of infant-related items in one of the specialized baby stores
in Yerevan.
