ANTILIAS, APRIL 47, ARMENIANS TODAY - NOYAN TAPAN. Aram I, the
Catholicos of the Great Cilician House, mentioned in his recent
interview with a German newspaper that churches should henceforth look
at the interchurch movement from another point of view. According
to him, the world is subject to new developments and the role of
the religion has started to be stressed in the social life. The
Patriarch mentioned that the church cannot remain indifferent to all
this and that the interchurch movement needs new self-knowledge,
new approaches with regard to issues the world is interested in,
as well as a new agenda.
