CENTRAL BANK OF ARMENIA APPROVES SKETCHES OF 2 COMMEMORATIVE COINS

YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) approved
sketches and technical parameters of two commemorative coins - "Pasan"
and "Caucasian boreal owl" (Aegolius funereus) - to be minted under
the program "Fauna of Caucasus" in 2008-2009.
The decision was made at the meeting of the CBA Directors Board of
April 8 presided over by the CBA President Tigran Sargsian.
The sitting has also approved the sketches and technical parameters
for 12 golden coins under the international program on issue of
commemorative coins with Zodiacal signs. The CBA Board of Directors
amended Armenia's program on issue of commemorative coins for
2008-2009.
