'Georgetown Boys' comes to middle school
NORTH ANDOVER - Members of Hamazkayin of New Jersey Youth Theater
Group will perform "The Georgetown Boys" on April 20 at the North
Andover Middle School.
The musical features a cast of 24 children and adults telling the
story of orphaned children brought to Georgetown, Canada, from
Western Armenia during the Armenian Genocide of 1915. The play is
being performed during a commemoration of the 93rd anniversary of the
Genocide and is sponsored by the Armenian Genocide Commemorative
Committee of Merrimack Valley. The commemoration will include a
tribute to remaining survivors, a requiem service and hymns by the
Armenian Choral Group of Merrimack Valley.
The show beings at 3 p.m. at the middle school, 495 Main St. Tickets
are $20 for adults, $10 for students. For more information or
