Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli-APA. Comments of Azerbaijani Government
concerning the suit filed by Azerbaijani citizens against aggressive
Armenian state in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) have been
sent to the court, Azerbaijan's representative in the ECHR Chingiz
Asgarov said, APA reports.
He said that Azerbaijan's comments had been sent by the European
Court of Human Rights to Armenia and Yerevan asked time in connection
with this.
"The process will possibly continue in autumn", he said.
Chingiz Asgarov said that the Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia had
also appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. Chingiz Asgarov
noted that an Armenian, who once had lived in Gulustan village of
Goranboy Region, also complained to the European Court of Human Rights
against Azerbaijan. Mr. Asgarov said the person left the village in
1992 and laid the responsibility for this on Azerbaijani Government.
"We have given broad comments in connection with this. I think that
the case has no prospects. I am sure that Azerbaijani Government will
win the case", he said.
