/PanARMENIAN.Net/ GUAM member countries should combine efforts for
resolution of conflicts in their territories, Azerbaijan's Deputy
Foreign Minister said.
"These conflicts should be resolved through the norms of the
international law. This principle underlies GUAM's approach that
was agreed at the summit of GUAM heads of state two years ago",
Araz Azimov told a conference in Baku.
He said GUAM member countries should combine efforts for resolution
of conflicts in their territories and dismissed the misconception of
'frozen conflicts.'
"By 'frozen conflict', we mean frozen situation, not frozen settlement
process", he said.
"Azerbaijan is willing to ensure peace and stability in its territory
while Armenia tries to drag out the settlement process. Ways of
solution should be found.
These ways are political pressure, international law and common stand
of the international community."
"Azerbaijan is ready to continue talks for resolution of the Nagorno
Karabakh conflict. We never refused dialogue," he resumed, Azeri
Press Agency reports.
