MORAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ATMOSPHERE TO PUT IT MILDLY WAS ABSENT AT OFFICE OF PROSECUTOR

"When I took up the post of Prosecutor General, I set to create a
moral and psychological atmosphere in the staff, which was absent,
to put it mildly," said Prosecutor General Arshavir Gharamyan, in the
beginning of the news conference on the results of the first quarter.
The prosecutor general said after his appointment "negative phenomena
were revealed which harmed the image of the law enforcement agencies."
Arshavir Gharamyan said structural changes were made in the system.
"Each position must have its definite functions and duties. It does
not mean that there were mass dismissals. We merely clarified the
functions of the workers in accordance with the law on the office of
prosecutor. Some positions were meant to serve the leadership. Those
positions were made redundant, instead new positions were created,
for purely professional activities," said the prosecutor general.
