TURKMEN AMBASSADOR HANDS CREDENTIALS TO ARMENIAN PRESIDENT

YEREVAN, APRIL 18, ARMENPRESS: The new ambassador of Turkmenistan to
Armenia, Shohrat Jumaev, handed today his credentials to President
Serzh Sarkisian.
The presidential press service said Serzh Sarkisian congratulated the
ambassador on taking over a new tenure in Armenia expressing also
hope that his term in office will be marked by new efforts towards
expansion of Turkmen-Armenian relationships.
The press service said both men stressed the originally established
warm relationships between the two countries and their development
potential.
They also spoke in favor of boosting economic cooperation because
the current trade volume does not reflect the available potential.
President Sarkisian emphasized, particularly, resumption of the work
of bilateral commission for economic cooperation and enhancing active
economic partnership.
