RUSSIAN CB: CENTRAL BANK OF ARMENIA HAS REACHED SUCCESS IN DEVELOPING NATIONAL BANKING SYSTEM

YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. When chaired by Tigran Sargsyan, the
Central Bank of Armenia has accomplished a great deal in developing
national banking system, Sergey Ignatyev, chairman of the Central
Bank of Russia, said in a message congratulating Sargsyan on recent
appointment as prime minister.
"I'm sure that the accumulated experience enables you to fulfill
new duty successfully", governmental press office quoted the Russian
banker as saying in his message.
Ignatyev thanked Sargsyan for his efforts to develop cooperation
between Armenian and Russian central banks.
"I remember our meetings and disputes held in the atmosphere of
friendship and mutual trust. I'd like to express special gratitude for
your participation in sessions of Club of Governors of Central Banks
in Central Asia, Black Sea Region and Baltic Countries", Ignatyev said.
