PRIME MINISTER TIGRAN SARGSIAN INTRODUCES REAPPOINTED MINISTERS OF CULTURE AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT

YEREVAN, APRIL 18, NOYAN TAPAN. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian, on
April 18, introduced RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosian to the
Ministry's personnel. She had been reappointed by RA President Serge
Sargsian's decree.
The Prime Minister affirmed that culture is the essence of people's
life and an integral part of its history. According to Tigran Sargsian,
this sphere entrusted to Hasmik Poghosian has many problems. "The
sphere of culture is a very complicated and delicate sphere. We have
bright individualities in the sphere of culture. Each of them has its
unique approaches. Individual approach should be shown to them, they
should not be offended and repelled," the Prime Minister considers.
T. Sargsian also touched upon problems of development and
spreading of culture mentioning that changes should be made in
this direction. The Armenian cultural values should be promoted and
presented both in Armenia and abroad, and the most efficient way of
it is television. "Work done in this direction should be the most
important among the Ministry's activity priorities. A new concept
should be worked out and submitted to the Ministry in short terms,"
he mentioned.
Minister Hasmik Poghosian assured that jointly with the Ministry's
personnel she will try to solve the most urgent and important problems
of the cultural sphere.
The same day Tigran Sargsian also introduced reappointed Minister
of Urban Development Vardan Vardanian. He said that the Minister
managed to consolidate the personnel during the term of his tenure,
to involve all capable forces, specialists in the issue of liquidating
the problems accumulated in the urban development sphere.
Vardan Vardanian thanked the Prime Minister for confidence and said
that there are many specialists in the Ministry, who do their work
with great devotion. "I will try to make more efficient and purposeful
the activity of this department entrusted to me for already the second
time," the Minister assured.
