A scuffle broke out over the weekend at a holy Christian shrine when
Greek Orthodox and Armenian believers traded blows at the traditional
site of the burial of Jesus.
The fist-fight occurred after Armenian worshippers yanked a Greek
Orthodox cleric away from a tomb in Jerusalem's Church of the Holy
Sepulchre.
The Armenians were jealously guarding their rights to what they regard
as their part of the centuries-old church, the traditional site of
Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
Two Armenians were briefly detained at a Jerusalem police station
where worshippers then gathered to protest the detention.
