RA PRESIDNET RECEVED THE CHIEF OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERAL AGENCY OF CULTURE AND CINEMATOGRAPHY

President Serzh Sargsyan received the Chief of the Federal Agency of
Culture and Cinematography of Russia Mikhail Shvidkoy, President's
Press Office reported.
The President said the maintenance and expansion of cultural ties
is one of the most important components of bilateral cooperation and
noted that the role of art has always been great in reinforcing the
friendship between peoples.

Mikhail Shvidkoy spoke about the active and dynamically developing
Armenian-Russian cultural relations and noted that Armenia is actively
working in the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Council. He said that
currently he is discussing the issue of accomplishment of juvenile
children and youth programs with his Armenian partners.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of the memorandum on
cooperation to be signed today between RA Ministry of Culture and RF
Federal Agency of Culture and Cinematography, as well as the Russian
culture season expected in Armenia in June, 2008, which will provide
another brilliant opportunity to the Armenian viewers to communicate
with Russian art.
