    Three distinguished speakers will deliver lectures beginning at 1
    p.m. in Engleman A120: Benedict Kiernan will speak on `A World History
    of Genocide.' Claudia Card will discuss `The Paradox of Genocidal Rape
    Aimed at Forced Pregnancy.' James E. Young will speak on `Memory,
    Counter-memory and the Monument after 9/11: From Berlin to New York.'

    APRIL 16, 2008 ¢ GALLERY Z PERFORMANCE. Gallery Z hosts a unique
    musical/artistic performance featuring Armenian artist Kevork Mourad

    perform `The Epic of Gilgamesh,' one of the most ancient epics

    APRIL 22, 2008 ¢ RICHARD HOVANNISIAN LECTURE. Titled `Must We Still
    Remember? The Armenian Genocide as Prototype' Presented by the Clark
    University's Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide
    Studies. Hovannisian is professor emeritus of Armenian and Near
    Eastern history at UCLA. Begins at 7:30 p.m. in Tilton Hall, 2nd

    APRIL 23, 2008 ¢ MARGARET AHNERT will speak about her book, `The
    Knock at the Door: A Journey Through the Darkness of the Armenian

    and commemoration through Armenian prayer, culture and music. For all

    St. James Armenian Church of Watertown. Requiem Service at 6:30
    p.m. in the church sanctuary. Program to feature Armenian musical and

    SERIES. Fourth memorial program, titled `Remembrance, Images, and

    APRIL 27, 2008 ¢ GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION (PROVIDENCE). Organized by
    the Armenian Martyrs' Memorial Committee. Guest speaker: Prof. Henry
    Theriault, associate professor at Worcester State College, whose
    research focuses on genocide and human rights. Federal, state and
    local politicians will also be present. Clergy from the three Armenian
    churches will hold requiem services for our martyrs. Begins at 12:30

    will give a lecture about his most recent work `Tigranes II and Rome,'
    translated to English from the original Armenian text (Yerevan, 1940)
    by historian Hakob H. Manandyan (1873-1952). The book is regarded as
    the first serious attempt to examine the 1st century B.C. Armenian
    monarch, Tigran the Great, without appealing to patriotic sentiments

    Arghamanyan, who will perform the piano concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky
    with maestro Keith Lockhart conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra. Also

    Prayer (Hayr Mer). The Dizzy Gillespie All Stars Big-Band will also

    Ombudsman from the Republic of Armenia, who will give an update on

    designating April 24 as `Wisconsin Day of Remembrance for the Armenian
