    ARMENIAN FORESTERS COME TO CANADA

    Pulp & Paper Canada, Canada
    April 24 2008

The international link of our forests to other parts of the world has
tightened a notch, as two foresters from Armenia have come to Ontario
to learn about forest conservation practices in Canada. Tree Canada, a
charitable organization based in Ottawa, is facilitating an educational
tour for the foresters, who will embark on a two-week tour of Ontario,
meeting with professors and students at the University of Toronto,
and visiting with Tree Canada and Tree Ontario to learn more about
provincial and national tree planting initiatives.

The project, 'Building International Bridges for Forest Futures,' is
funded in part by CIDA, the Canadian International Development Agency.

"This project has been a wonderful opportunity for building
inernational relationships and sharing knowledge," notes Adrina
Bardekjian Ambrisil, project manager and Tree Canada Associated. "The
only way we can sustain our forests is through global collaborative
    efforts."
