GAZPROM TO RAISE ARMENIA'S PRICE FOR GAS UP TO $165 FROM 2009

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On April 23, the Gazprom Board of Director approved
the decision to raise prices for natural gas for the CIS and Baltic
    states.

The new price for Armenia will make $165 for a thousand cu. m. against
current $110. The fixed price is not expected to go up during next
three years. For the other CIS states, Gazprom plans gradual rise in
prices up to the average European level.

Baltic states purchase some 5.5 billion cu. m. gas at the highest
price, thus compensating lower prices for the CIS.

Georgia pays relatively high cost $270 for a thousand cu. m. of gas,
    Gazprom's press office reported.

The giant's CEO Alexey Miller will arrive in Yerevan in May 2008 to
negotiate the prices with the Armenian leadership.
