WHO CREATES TENSION IN DJAVAKHQ

Is it accurate to say that the tension in Djavakhq has to do with
the strained relationship of Georgia and Russia, taking into account
the fact that whenever Georgian-Russian relationship is strained the
situation in Djavakhq gets worse? Sergey Minasyan the vice director
of the Caucasus Media Institute said to Panorama.am reporter that
although experts are intended to find connection in these chaotic
relationship, the reality is that the relationship of Djavakhq
Armenians and Georgians is not getting worse.
"Of course, when some tension is created in Djavakhq the local
authorities and the media try to comment it as a third body power,
but it is not right as Djavakhq has its local problems and I am sure
that the recent developments have nothing to do with it," he said.
As for the local Armenians' integration to Georgian life and the
level of studying Georgian, Minasyan said that they even do not need
to know Georgian.
