TALVITIE HOPES FOR ACTIVATION OF PEACE PROCESS ON KARABAKH

Heikki Talvitie, special representative of OSCE Chairman in Office,
said in Azerbaijan that he hopes for activation in peace process on
Karabakh in the October of 2008, after the presidential elections
in Azerbaijan.
The European official noted that the peace talks between Armenia
and Azerbaijan have been held in the frameworks of the Minsk Group
suggestions for a long time. He marked the trio of Russia, France
and the USA as a "strong team".
Talvitie said that OSCE advocates peace settlement of the Karabakh
conflict and added that the question of the status of the NKR remains
still unresolved.
