YEREVAN, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS: A man was reported to drown in Lake
Sevan on July 31. The rescue service of the Armenian Emergency Ministry
said his body was taken out of the lake at 6.15 pm. It said the man
was 40-45 years old.
The rescue service said also a 46 year-old woman was killed in an
apartment fire in Vanadzor on July 31 caused apparently by a natural
gas cylinder explosion. Four natural gas leak-caused explosions have
been reported this year killing one and injuring 4 people. Last year
5 such explosions were reported killing one and injuring 14 people.
