HEAD OF RA SPECIAL INVESTIGATION SERVICE OFFERS TO MAKE ALTERATIONS TO LAW 'ON BANK SECRET'

ArmInfo. Head of RA Special Investigation Service Andranik Mirzoyan
offers to make alterations to the Law "On Bank Secret". He made such
a proposal at the session of the law machinery representatives held
in Yeghegnadzor yesterday.
According to A. Mirzoyan's proposal, it would be correct to make a
change to the law which would allow the law machinery to receive the
data about the account holder and the transaction before filing an
accusation. At the same time, it is offered to relieve the banks of the
duty to inform its clients about the presented legal requests. To note,
according to Article 10 of the Law 'On Bank Secret', it is prohibited
to deliver information about the account holder or a transaction
without the court decision which can be made after institution of a
criminal case and filing accusation. The Article 19 of the same Law
obliges the banks to inform its clients about legal requests.
