INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION DECLINES BY 0.2% IN ARMENIA IN FIRST HALF OF 2008 ON SAME PERIOD OF 2007

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, NOYAN TAPAN. Industrial production of 356 bln
959.2 mln drams or over 1 bln 160.5 mln USD was made in Armenia in
January-June 2008.
Sales amounted to 352 bln 395.9 mln drams, including sales of 34 bln
695.6 mln drams in CIS countries and sales of production of 82 bln
889.8 mln drams in other countries.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, the industrial
production index made 99.8% in the indicated period as compared with
January-June 2007.
The same index without the production and distribution of electricity,
gas and water made 98.9%.
