The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted the heads of Armenian
trade banks, today, reported the press service of the President's
Administration. According to the source, the President wished to verify
the activities in case of deepening of crisis in the world, hence
taking into account the view points of banking system representatives.
"Due to our banks, we managed to meet the first wave of the crisis. I
guess, much depended on your wise policy making skills. I have heard
people saying that they trust Armenian banks," said the President.
The President encouraged the representatives of banking system to
support those businesses which have real potential to open new working
places, to support small and average business development in Armenia.
