Ukraine's state border services have detected 61 people in Simferopol
who violated the terms of sojourn in the country. 17 of them are
Armenians. According to the local mass media, they have been fined
and denied entry to the country for the coming five years.
Over the past three months the state border services has detected
over 200 lawbreakers from Armenia, Uzbekistan and Georgia. They
all confessed that they had unduly stayed in the country living in
different settlements.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Yerevan says they are unaware of these
cases. They noted that Armenians don't need entrance visa to the
Ukraine, yet, it doesn't mean they can stay in the country as long
as they wish.
"Foreigners are given temporary residence permit in any country but
as soon as it expires they are punished by different methods."
