ARMENIA, EU SIGN AN AIR COMMUNICATION AGREEMENT

Within the framework of his visit to Brussels the Foreign Minister
of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, had a meeting with the Commissioner
for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita
Ferrero-Waldner.
Minister Nalbandian and commissioner Ferrero-Waldner discussed a
number of issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation and exchanged
views on the latest developments in the region.
Following the meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian,
Minister for European Affairs of France Jean- Pierre Jouyet and
Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner signed an agreement on "Certain
aspects of air communication between the Republic of Armenia and the
European Community, which will contribute to the air communication
between Armenia and EU member states, as well as Switzerland,
Lichtenstein, Iceland and Norway.
