ARMENIAN PM PRAISES COOPERATION WITH KfW

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS: Armenian prime minister Serzh
Sarkisian described his government's cooperation with Germany as
'very effective', especially in banking and financial sectors as he
received the deputy president of the German KfW bank Roland Siller.
The government press office quoted Serzh Sarkisian as saying that
KfW's credits into Armenia's energy and mortgage sectors have proved
very effective.
Rolland Siller was received by prime minister Sarkisian after the
German banker opened in Yerevan a branch of ProCredit Bank.
Present at the opening ceremony were the chairman of the Central Bank
Tigran Sarkisian; the ambassador of Germany in Armenia, Mrs. Andrea
Wiktorin and other officials.
Rolland Siller said the ProCredit Armenia will focus on northern and
northwestern parts of Armenia which were hit by an earthquake in 1988.
