RUSSIA'S PM HEADING FOR ARMENIA

RBC, 06.02.2008, Moscow 09:57:30.Russia's Prime Minister Viktor
will discuss commercial, economic and investment cooperation with
Armenia's highest ranking officials during his official visit to
the country today. Among other meetings, Zubkov is scheduled to meet
his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, President Robert Kocharian,
and Chairman of the National Assembly Tigran Torosian.
Russia is now Armenia's largest foreign investor, with accrued
investment of USD 1bn. The two countries are expanding their
cooperation in the energy, construction, banking, diamond and
gold-mining industries, as well as in transport and communications.
Russia's RAO UES, Gazprom, Vneshtorgbank, RUSAL and VimpelCom are
operating in Armenia.
