"Armenian mass media and some presidential candidates circulate
rumours that passport data are being compiled throughout the country,"
Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Garegin Azarian announced
on February 6.
"The process cannot affect the expression of voters' free will. And
yet, on behalf of the Central Electoral Commission, I call on Armenian
voters to refuse people interested in passport data, unless they
are members of electoral commissions or proxies of presidential
candidates," he said.
