Levon Ter-Petrosian has not turned to the Armenian CEC to renounce his
participation in the elections

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Ex-President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosian has not
turned to the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia to renounce his
participation in the presidential elections of February 19.
Spokeswoman of CEC Tatev Ohanian informed on this Mediamax today.
According to the schedule, established by CEC, the deadline for
rejection of the presidential candidates is tomorrow, on February 9 at
18:00.
Levon Ter-Petrosian turned to the Constitutional Court of Armenia with
a request to recognize as `insuperable the obstacles, which arose on
the way of his participation in the elections of February 19'. The
reference notes that `the obstacles, which arose, make the further
participation of Ter-Petrosian in the electoral processes impossible
for reasons not depending on him'.
The CC session on the issue will take place on February 11 at 11:00.
