COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN CBA FINANCIAL MONITORING CENTER AND FINANCIAL MONITORING DEPARTMENT OF STATE CONTROL COMMITEE OF BELARUS

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 11, NOYAN TAPAN. A cooperation agreement was signed
recently between the Financial Monitoring Center of the Central Bank
of Armenia (CBA) and the Financial Monitoring Department of the State
Control Committee of Belarus.
NT was informed by the CBA press service that the purpose of the
agreement is to stipulate officially the mechanisms of information
exchange between the sides, as well as mechanisms of cooperation
and mutual assistance in other spheres. The use of these mechanisms
will allow to implement intelligence work in the financial sector
and to exchange rapidly information about suspect financial
transactions. Cooperation between the sides will provide Armenia
with the opportunity to combat terrorism financing and legalization
of criminal incomes in an efficient and coordinated way.
