YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA National Assembly "Zharangutyun"
("Heritage") faction urges once again the Public Television Company to
return to the limits of law, the faction secretary Styopa Safarian stated at
the February 8 briefing.
According to him, the Public Television company once again "violated the
Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly" and broadcast only 3 of the
statements made by MPs at the February 5 sitting and only 4 out of the
questions to the government - answers at the February 6 sitting, and the
broadcast began 40 minutes after midnight. By the NA Rules of Procedure, the
records of sittings for statements and questions-answers shall be
demonstrated in full on Wednesdays.
The deputy said that this week's plenary sittings of the National Assembly
"served only one candidate for the RA presidency". S. Safarian called the
statements of the parliamentary majority a "panic show", while the National
Assembly - government questions-answers a "propaganda show".
