WORLD DUKENDO FULL-CONTACT KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD IN ARMENIA IN MAY

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The World Dukendo Full-Contact
Karate Championship will be held in Armenia in May, the president of
the International Dukendo Full-Contact Karate Federation Gor Vardanian
stated at the February 13 press conference.
According to him, sportsmen from the U.S, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus
and Canada will participate in the championship. During the 2007
championship in Yerevan, the representatives of Russia, Ukraine,
Belarus and Canada lost to the Armenian sportsmen. Only one Armenian
karate sportsman, who lost to the U.S. opponent last year, will
compete in a return match.
Besides, as Gor Vardanian announced, it is envisaged to organize
international competitions of amateurs in Yerevan on October 1-3 with
the participation of above 8 year-olds.
