ARMENIAN, UKRAINIAN FMS DISCUSS BILATERAL AND REGIONAL ISSUES

On the sidelines of the Black Sea Synergy meeting of the Foreign
Ministers of the EU the Black Sea region, RA Foreign Minister Vartan
Oskanian was received by the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vladimir
Ogryzko.
At the beginning of the meeting the interlocutors exchanged views on
the Kiev meeting of the Foreign Ministers, noting that it was another
evidence of EU's growing interest in the region.
Turning to issues of bilateral cooperation, the Ministers emphasized
the high level of relations based on close ties between the two
peoples and presented the common view of development of the two
countries. The parties stressed the readiness of the two countries
to promote the development of cooperation in the economic sphere,
which will further the growth of the volume of trade-economic turnover.
Later Ukraine's Foreign Minister Vladimir Ogryzko presented the
priorities of the country's foreign policy. In particular, he spoke
about the dialogue with the EU in the direction of further integration
into the European family.
The two Ministers exchanged views on the positions of the parties on
regional conflicts, the development following the expected independence
of Kosovo, the draft resolution submitted to the UN General Assembly
by GUAM.
