Iran to continue nuclear research

met Thursday with newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Ali
Saqayian, the RA NA press office reported.
Congratulating the diplomat on the appointment, Mr Torosian said
Armenia attaches importance to cooperation with Iran, specifically in
transport and energy fields.
Ambassador Saqayian assessed highly the Armenian-Iranian relations and
again invited Mr Torosian to Tehran after the RA presidential
election.
He also briefed on development in Iran's nuclear program. `Iran is not
developing nuclear weapons,' the Ambassador said. `Despite IAEA
statements and anti-Iranian resolution, our country will continue
scientific research.'
In this view the Armenian Speaker noted that all countries have equal
rights and obligations fixed by international treaties.
