OSKANYAN AND SEMNEBY MET AFTER KOSOVO INDEPENDENCE
On February 18 the Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanyan met with
the EU's special representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby,
the press service of the foreign ministry reports. Peter Semneby who
arrived in Armenia after visiting Moscow and Tbilisi presented the
results and evaluations of his official meetings.
The interlocutors discussed the independence of Kosovo. Semneby said
on February 18 the foreign ministers of the EU have met to discuss
the situation regarding the issue of Kosovo.
They also touched upon the Armenian presidential election. About the
process, competitiveness was marked, and in this context the
importance of compliance of the election was underlined. The sides
also emphasized that the promotion of democracy in Armenia will
promote cooperation with the EU.
