Police brings up facts of law violation by supporters of Ter-Petrosian

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Head of the Public Relations Department of the
Armenian Police, Lieutenant Colonel Sayat Shirinian stated that this
afternoon member of the central headquarter of presidential candidate
Levon Ter-Petrosian Samvel Gevorgian and 12 allies of his entered
the territory of the polling station 22/37 in Vardadzor village
of Gegharkunik marz and tried to hinder the work of the electoral
commission.
Mediamax reports that Sayat Shirinian stated that the electors and
proxies of the presidential candidates, who were at the polling
station, managed to send them out of the polling station, after
which Gevorgian's group escaped. The Police are searching for Samvel
Gevorgian and the people accompanying him.
Sayat Shirinian informed that at about 14:00, the police department
of Maralik town of Shirak marz received a statement, according to
which not far from the polling station 36/34, the head of the local
pre-election staff of Levon Ter-Petrosian Harutiun Urumian inflicted
bodily injuries to the proxy of Serzh Sarkisian Suren Avetisian.
Sayat Shirinian informed that at 14:30 the chairman of the electoral
commission of Vanadzor polling station 30/22 Edik Vahanian turned to
the employee of the Police on duty at the polling station with the
request to move away from the territory of the polling station the
proxy of presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosian, who hindered the
normal work of the commission. Members of the commission composed the
corresponding protocol, after which Sofia Kalantarian was moved away
from the territory of the polling station.
