Deepening of democratic processes in Armenia will promote the relations with EU

On February 18 RA foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received the EU
Special representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.
Informing that he is in Armenia after the visits to Moscow and
Tbilisi, Mr. Semneby presented the results and evaluations of his
official meetings.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the events connected with
Kosovo's independence. Mr. Semneby informed that today a meeting of
the EU Foreign Ministers dedicated to the situation in Kosovo will
be convened in Brussels today.
Reference was made to the presidential elections in Armenia. It was
noted that the forthcoming elections are notable for competition and
attached special importance to holding those in line with international
standards. The parties also underlined that the deepening of democratic
processes in Armenia will promote the deepening of cooperation with
the European Union.
