Mitk Analytical Center calls for recognition of Kosovo independence

On February 17 the parliament of Kosovo declared independence from Serbia.
Despite the fact that this step of the Kosovar people was expected, it is
nevertheless obvious that the foreign ministries of Armenia and
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic were not ready for such developments. In the
meantime, some European states have already stated likely to recognize the
independence of Kosovo. Judging by this, the experts of the Mitk Analytical
Center call the governments of NKR and Armenia to recognize the independence
of Kosovo and negotiate the recognition of NKR with the government of
Kosovo.
Besides, we think it is necessary for the NKR government to turn to the UN
Security Council to bring up the issue of recognition of its independence
within the borders of territories controlled by NKR. The experts of the Mitk
Analytical Center think it should be noted that this historical time has
created an opportunity for completing the issue of the confrontation over
Nagorno-Karabakh.
