Yerevan /Mediamax/. Secretary of "Heritage" parliamentary faction
Stepan Safarian stated in Yerevan today that "the scales of the
registered violations will not allow recognizing the presidential
elections of February 19 as a fact".
According to him, "the authorities did not have sufficient electorate
for victory in the first round of elections, and if the elections
were fairly conducted, the second round would be inevitable". The
MP stated that "on February 19, elections with the participation of
phantom-electors were held".
Stepan Safarian stated that he is "amazed at the discrepancy and
the ambiguity of the assessment of the presidential elections by the
European observers".
