STUDENTS DEMAND PUNISHMENT OF THOSE GUILTY OF ELECTION RIGGING AND VIOLENCE

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, NOYAN TAPAN. The students participating in the
February 22 rally of the first Armenian president Levon Ter-Petrosian's
supporters organized a procession to the office of the RA prosecutor
general. The procession of thousands of people was headed by Nikol
Pashinian, member of the central headquarters of L. Ter-Petrosian. In
front of the building of the RA prosecutor general's office, he
presented the demands of the procession participants: to punish those
guilty of election rigging and violence, in particular, the "whelps of
"Mkhchian Mouse", "Nemets Rubo" and the others with nicknames.
Then the procession made its way along Nalbandian and Tumanian Streets,
during which N. Pashinian regularly announced by a loud hailer that the
deputy prosecutor general of Armenia Gagik Jhangirian has joined the
movement led by Levon Ter-Petrosian and that G. Jhangirian has promised
to disclose the October 27 assassination after L. Ter-Petrosian becomes
the president. "Hundreds of policemen and national security officers
will join our movement soon," N. Pashinian declared.
The students - rally participants chanted "Levon is President",
"Victory", "Serzhik, Go Away". The procession ended in Freedom Square.
