289 ECONOMIC OFFENCES COMMITTED IN ARMENIA IN 2007

YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. National Statistical Service of Armenia
says referring to Armenian Police Department's figures that 289
economic offences have been committed in Armenia over the period
between January and December 2007. This is 7.7% smaller number than
that of 2006.
According to statistical report, 57 cases were banknotes and securities
forgery. This figure is 9.6% greater than that of the previous year.
The report says 232 cases were other crimes against economic activity
(11.1% less than in 2006).
