ArmInfo. The regular thousand-strong procession of RA presidential
contender Levon Ter-Petrosyan's supporters started at 5:00 PM. As
ArmInfo correspondent reports, the procession participants protest
against yesterday's arrests, which are considered by oppositionists as
a political persecution. Only Ter-Petrosyan's supporters under age 45
take part in the procession. They intend to pass through Mashtots
Avenue, Amiryan Street, the Republic Square, Nalbandyan Street and
return to the Liberty Square through Tumanyan Street. L. Ter-Petrosyan
himself and leaders of the political forces, supporting him, remain at
the Square where the rally is going on. The procession is headed by
member of L. Ter-Petrosyan's Central campaign headquarters Nikol
Pashinyan. Presently, the movement over Mashtots Avenue is overlapped.
To recall, ex-deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jhangiryan, member of the
political council of the "Republic" oppositional party Smbat Ayvazyan
and the "New Times" party leader Aram Karapetyan were detained
yesterday and today.
