Co-Chairmen of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Joe
Knollenberg and Frank Pallone congratulated Serge Sargsyan on the
occasion of his victory in the presidential elections in Armenia.
"Dear President, Mr. Serge Sargsyan, We congratulate you on your
victory in the presidential elections held on February 19, 2008.
Armenia continues proving its commitment to hold fair and free
elections.
The international observation organizations, including the Organization
for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), registered a transparent
and democratic election campaign. The proper conduct of the elections
promotes the deepening of Armenian-American relations and improves
the country's international image as a peaceful democratic country.
As Co-Chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, we
expect to work with you, assisting in the resolution of the problems
Armenia faces.
We express our best wishes to you on the occasion of assuming your
new office."
